Taco Night!

So I told you about my 99 Cent Only haul the other day and I got an entire bag of green bell peppers for .99 cents.  Yes, I know!  That's a big deal.  Well, I wanted to show you how I used them.  I chopped them up and put thein the pan with my ground beef that I am going to use to make my Mom's taco recipe.

I usually use Las Palmas Enchilada Sauce but Old El Paso it is this time because that was the brand at the dollar store.  It was ok but not as good as the brand I usually use.

My tacos were very simple.  Corn tortilla fried in coconut oil.  Ground beef with red enchilada sauce and bell peppers.  A little cheese on top and you are good to chow down.

See you next time!

99 Cent Only Haul - May 1, 2016

I had to pickup a few things at the 99 Cent Only Store today so I wanted to let you all know what I got for under $10.

  • Snickerdoodle Coffee-Mate Coffee Creamer
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • A can of Rotel
  • One bag of green bell peppers
  • Pretzels
  • a bag of 3 yellow squash
  • a bag of 3 zucchini
  • Unshelled and unsalted peanuts
  • Campbells Lemon Pepper Grills (I love these things!)
  • 3 hearts of romaine

I got receipts!

I know at some of my local grocery stores I pay way more for green bell peppers and today I got a whole bag of them.  Bell peppers are loaded with various vitamins and minerals, and are exceptionally rich in vitamin C.

I had some chicken tenders and a bag of Campbells Marsalla so I used my squash and made this simple dish for dinner.  Very delicious and I freezed the rest down for later on this week.
